Alesha was born and raised in Guelph, ON, and she attended high school at John F. Ross.
Alesha’s healthcare work journey began as a personal support worker. She dedicated five years to this role, which included time during the COVID-19 pandemic.
While in this role, Alesha discovered her passion for helping others achieve the best quality of life possible. This fueled her desire to further her career with more growth opportunities and a stable schedule that would balance her home life as a parent of three children.
Alesha decided to return to school, and with the guidance of a career counsellor, she found a hearing instrument specialist program to enroll in and embarked on the path that led to her becoming a certified hearing instrument specialist.
At Arnold Hearing Centres’ Waterloo location, Alesha’s responsibilities include conducting hearing screenings for children, as well as applicants for RCMP, policing and aviation. She also provides cerumen removal services, as well as assists with the cleaning and maintenance of clients’ hearing devices. Additionally, Alesha helps coordinate and execute marketing and outreach initiatives.
As an extrovert, Alesha loves meeting and getting to know every client that walks into our office. Having the opportunity to give our clients a positive atmosphere as well as quality service gives her a sense of pride in the career she’s chosen.
Outside of work, Alesha enjoys running, and she is currently training to take part in her first half-marathon in the spring of 2025. She also enjoys quality time with her children as well as her family and friends.
