By shopping small, your money actually goes to business owners and runners and their employees, therefore supporting families and the community around you.

It is also important to shop at businesses that care about their quality of product and customers rather than pure profits (a select few).

Ken Sushi House is this month’s featured “Love Local” business, and if you love sushi, you’ll be impressed.

What Makes Ken Sushi House Special

Chef Ken opened his sushi house 6+ years ago after working in a family-owned sushi restaurant in Vancouver for many years, and from the outset, it has been a restaurant that serves amazing food and has a great atmosphere.

Ken Sushi House has friendly and personable owners. The care they put into their food and business, as well as the friendliness they show each time I go in, is wonderful. They always remember me!

What’s on the Menu?

You can’t go wrong with anything on the menu. They have more than just sushi, with appetizers, including dumplings and tempura, and dinners, including udon and donburi dishes.

The fish is always very fresh, and there are many sushi and sashimi rolls to choose from, or you can combine your own.

Go to Tsujiri down the street for a matcha (green tea) dessert afterwards – also a wonderful business with owners that care and show thoughtfulness toward you.
