There are many treatment plans available based on your level of hearing, lifestyle needs and preference. Our experts will take the time to explain each of these to help you make the right choice.
Initial Fitting and Orientation Appointment
This appointment is the beginning of your hearing journey and is where we start the process of guiding you along the way.
Real-Ear Hearing Instrument Verification
Using specialized equipment, we will assess the performance of your hearing devices to make sure they’re performing at peak level.
Insertion and Battery/Charger Instruction
Whether you have rechargeable hearing aids, or replaceable batteries, during the fitting appointment our expert will explain and show you how to operate and power your hearing aids.
Own Voice Assessment
Using specialized equipment, we will verify that your hearing devices are performing at their peak level.
Feedback Management
During your fitting appointment we will run a test that will help reduce any feedback your hearing devices may have.
Initial Tinnitus Counselling (If Applicable)
If tinnitus has been noted as a concern you may have, we will discuss and implement the tinnitus management feature in your hearing devices and explain how to use it.
Realistic Expectations Counselling
Throughout your better hearing journey, we will be open and honest with you about what to expect with your hearing devices.
Walkthrough of Hearing Instrument Cleaning and Maintenance
We will show you all the tips and tricks on how to clean your hearing devices, as well as preventative maintenance instructions to keep them working their best.
Communication Strategies Counselling
Conversation is not a one-way street and takes team work to be successful. We will give you tips and advice on how to communicate, as well as what to tell others when communicating with you.
Real World Adjustments Appointment
After the initial appointment, we will schedule an appointment about two weeks later. This allows us to fine tune your hearing devices based on real world feedback.
Continued Care and Support with In-Office or Remote Consultations
After your initial visit, we will schedule you for a cleaning and performance check of your hearing aids every three months. However, we are here for you if you need an adjustment or repair of your hearing aids. If you’re unable to visit us, we can create a remote appointment instead. Contact us and we’ll be happy to help.
Instruction and Demonstration of Your Hearing Instrument Accessories
At the follow-up we will provide you a full demonstration and instruction of your hearing device accessories. This includes a walkthrough of their features, how they interact with your hearing devices, and their benefits.
Bluetooth Device Set-Up and Counselling
Once you’re comfortable with the use and operation of your new hearing devices, we will set-up and explain how to use your hearing aids with your smart phone or other Bluetooth enabled devices.
Personalized Programming for Your Lifestyle
Having trouble hearing at a specific restaurant, or maybe while out at the theatre? We will create personalized hearing programs in your hearing devices to help adapt to those specific situations.
Maintenance Plan Determination
At the end of your comprehensive treatment plan, we will discuss the next steps in your hearing journey as we continue together.
