Many of our patients hesitate to seek out hearing care because they don’t know what to expect after they realize that their hearing needs some help.

Everyone knows what happens during your annual teeth cleaning appointment or when you get your eyesight tested – but what happens when you need a hearing test? And what happens after the hearing test itself?

We understand the hesitation, so we created this graphic to help explain exactly what happens for every step of your hearing health journey.

Your Journey to Better Hearing

Book a Hearing Evaluation

After you’ve had a look online for a “hearing test near me,” we might show up among the list – as some of the most well-established hearing care professionals across Ontario, we’re happy to help you out at any one of our seven locations.

Find your closest clinic and book a hearing assessment with us. It’ll take an hour to complete, and you’ll get your results on the same day. It’s as easy as that!

The Hearing Test and Next Steps

Our comprehensive hearing assessments are quick and painless. Your hearing professional will walk you through each test we perform so you’ll fully understand what we’re looking for and what each test does to assess your hearing.

After a quick chat about you and your lifestyle (we like to get to know our patients and narrow down any potential causes of your hearing challenges), we get right to the ear examination and hearing assessments, ensuring that your experience is comfortable and seamless.

You’ll receive your hearing assessment results on the same day. Depending on your results, we’ll either recommend annual hearing tests to ensure your hearing doesn’t change or hearing aids to help support your hearing if your results show signs of hearing loss.

Your Personalized Treatment Plan

Hearing care doesn’t start and finish with getting hearing aids; the support and guidance of a team of passionate audiology professionals will help you achieve the outcomes you want for your hearing.

Advanced hearing aid technology is just one piece of the puzzle. We work with several manufacturers to ensure that you get the technology that is right for your unique ears.

Throughout your treatment plan, we’ll be as upfront and honest as possible about what your ears need most and what you should expect once you get your hearing aids.

Follow-up Care and Further Support

After your hearing aids are programmed and fitted for your hearing loss challenges, we’ll book you in for maintenance appointments as needed to help replace batteries and offer repair services for parts that wear and tear.

Two weeks after fitting, we’ll schedule you for a follow-up appointment to adjust programming based on your real-world feedback; after all, you won’t know what minute changes need to be made until you’re wearing them out and about, enjoying your independent lifestyle!

We also offer several informational appointments to help you get acquainted with Bluetooth features, cleaning your devices, and other unique features of your hearing aids so that you can use them to their utmost ability.
