I think it's important to ‘shop local’ to support the members of your community. When you shop locally, it helps make the customer experience more personal and unique. Local businesses form the heart of our shopping community, and they are what make our towns so special.

Franklin Pizzeria and Restaurant make the freshest and tastiest pizzas I’ve ever tried, so that, in itself, makes them deserve to be featured in my ‘Love Local’ spotlight.

Such a Friendly Place!

I’ve been going to Franklin for two years now, and every time I go in, they greet me in the most welcoming way and treat me with the best service, as if I were part of their family. My favourite thing about Franklin is that they are a family-owned business, and they treat all of their customers, new or returning, with the same respect and service.

What’s on the Franklin Menu?

Franklin’s has a lot of choices besides pizza, so no matter what you’re in the mood for, they’ll have something to take away your hunger. They have lots of appetizers, chicken fingers and wings, burgers, fried fish, spaghetti, and chevapi. You can also stop in for some lunchtime salad and sandwiches.

Build your own custom pizza, or choose one of their eleven gourmet pizzas, with names like Potato Supreme, Greek Goddess, and Spicy Inferno (which has a ‘suicide sauce base’, Italian sausage, onion, hot banana peppers, jalapenos, and mozzarella).

If you love pickles and pizza, I definitely recommend trying the McFrank/pickle ranch pizza! It’s an interesting but delicious combination of ‘house made big mac sauce as the base, ground beef, onion, pickles, a mix of mozzarella and cheddar cheese, topped with shredded lettuce and a swirl of mac sauce on top’.

Polish it all off with a thick wedge of their New York or marble swirl cheesecake.

Or if you’d rather have your Franklin Pizza meal delivered, order it online. They recommend pre-ordering at the weekend because they get a huge rush of orders from 5 p.m. – 7 p.m.

If you are an adventurous eater, I would say this is the restaurant for you with its unique gourmet pizzas. If you are not an adventurous eater, don’t worry, they have amazing food choices that anyone will love.
