Sarah Funkenhauser grew up in Puslinch, Ontario.
As a Hearing Instrument Specialist, an average day consists of testing patients' hearing, cleaning, and repairing hearing aids, as well as counselling patients on hearing loss and hearing health.
She is also responsible for answering phones and doing her best to answer any questions or concerns their patients may have. Most importantly, she strives to make sure every patient leaves the clinic happy.
At times, the role can be tough, requiring a lot of patience and hard work, but the family atmosphere makes it a positive and uplifting place to work.
As a family-run business, they care deeply about their patients, regardless of the outcome.
Everyone cares so much about improving a patient’s quality of life, one ear at a time. Over the years, Sarah has touched many patients, allowing them to live a more fulfilled and happy life.
In one particular circumstance, she fit a patient with newer technology and the results were immediately noticed.
Over time, her communication and day-to-day routine completely changed, with the individual now able to communicate with her children and grandchildren, as well as enjoying the birds chirping away.
Outside of work, Sarah enjoys being with her family and puppy. They love to spend time outdoors, especially in the fall, as well as go on walks and working on the farm.
